Pricing and Market Access for an Oncologic

Background and Objectives

Analytica was engaged by a leading pharmaceutical manufacturer to provide a pricing and reimbursement (P&R) strategy to support market access for the client's novel oncologic therapy.

Approach

Analytica developed a multi-faceted approach to address the client's objectives; the scope of this work included the US market and the European G5.

First, Analytica conducted a thorough analysis of the current and future states of the disease environment. Next, Analytica examined the P&R environment in each of the target markets to assess the needs and objectives of key P&R decision makers. Finally, Analytica conducted a thorough product assessment with payers and physician-payer influencers, to analyze the key strengths and weaknesses of the client's product compared to available therapies.

Results

Analytica delivered summaries of the P&R potential for the client's product in each target market, along with strategic implications for how to maximize market access potential. These included market-specific recommendations on price, expected reimbursement, further product development, and key value messages to support P&R negotiations. Additionally, Analytica provided insights on how future events may impact the client's P&R potential in each market.
